I am a avid birdwatcher and enjoy talking about birds, especially raptors. Sharing nature with all ages as a passion of mine. I enjoy giving back what my 3rd grade teacher gave to me when she encouraged my interest in nature and the outdoors.
Participants will be birding with Maryland youth birding leaders. The youth birders will help all participants find local wintering birds, including waterfowl, ocean birds, raptors, and songbirds. No birding experience is required, spotting scopes will be available for all to use, and binoculars can be loaned to any participants.
Note: The trip will be led by Maryland youth birders, supervised by myself. A birding trip led by youth might seem unusual, but these talented students regularly lead trips for adult groups around Maryland, Delaware, and DC. Multiple leaders allow the trip to focus on birders of varying abilities, which these trips attract. The group will have several spotting scopes allowing participants to get a close look at many of the species. Binoculars will be available for participants to use.
Trip Start Time: 8:00 AM at the Ocean City Inlet Parking Lot Trip End Time: Noon or whenever each participant wants to peel off Location: We will meet at the Ocean City Inlet Parking Lot. Participants should meet me at the Ocean City Inlet. Look for the car with a MAEOE sign on top.
